Raging Waters

Sandwiched between rows of sun dried houses and yard sales, the slip and sliding water slides of Raging Waters rise above the horizon in the heart of suburban San Jose. The water park, once the ultimate destination for middle school parties in the summer, showed signs of age since I had last visited. Neon colored slides had faded into mute shades of flat pastels, Dippin' Dots were still the ice cream of the future, and my friends and I were probably the only twenty somethings without a gaggle of kids to tend to.

Water parks aren't generally the typical summer past time for folks our age, but it was my friend Ben's sole birthday demand to relive the 'Rage', so of course we had to go. We had a fantastic time, and midway through the day I decided to pick up a waterproof disposable camera to take photos. Some excellent photos turned up, a few favorites which you can see below but all of which you can check out on my flickr.
