Dream Illustrations: Countdown from 500
I would guess that it's pretty unoriginal to illustrate your dreams, but I figure why not if they make decent drawings. Thanks to the loopy, wildly imaginative, pile of brains I have up in my dome, I have the extreme pleasure of having rather bizarre, illogical, and fantastically visual dreams. The dream this drawing was based on was no where near as visual as some I've had in the past (such as driving through a green mountain pass that's covered in Nintendo themed animatronics... I'll draw that one sometime soon), but it still led to an interesting piece.
When I was on vacation this last weekend, I took a midday nap. While in a state half-awake and half-asleep, I dreamed that I wasn't allowed to wake-up until I had counted down from 500. Though I tried, I could never get very far, as the numbers started to overlap each other and I continuously lost my place. And because I couldn't count-down, I didn't fully wake up for a long time. It was frustrating, to say the least. And so was making this drawing.
