Over the weekend I compiled a total of 90 self-portraits taken over the course of 2008 with the Mac Photo Booth application. It would have been nice if there was a convenient way to export your photos this way (*ahem* I'm looking at you, savvy programming friend), but since that doesn't exist I had to assemble these babies in Photoshop. The photographs are ordered by date taken, some marking a particular event (such as Bay To Breakers or my little sister's graduation), while others are just me making faces at my computer. While I've taken a total of 212 Photo Booth photos over the course of the year, the selected 90 were my favorites, but weren't necessarily taken every single day.
As mentioned in the Flickr comments, next time I might associate each photo with a tweet from that day, or as David proposed, create some sort of personal blog/site using this mosaic layout. I have to admit I'm not really a photo-a-day kind of dame, but this is a really neat visual insight to the progression of a year. Plus, I can't believe my hair was that short! I miss it already...
Oh, and Happy Chinese New Year everyone! It's the Year of the Ox, which is my year, so look out!

In the same vein as I get your fail, Iman Moradi's book Glitch: Perfect Imperfections looks like it's right up my alley. A compilation of 200 glitches created by artists "...who present these complex fragments of color and lines as
thought-provoking mistakes that merit being considered in an aesthetic
sense", the series of colorful mistakes featured in the book look really fantastic.
The collection instantly reminds me of my friend Rich Grillotti of PixelJam's photo series of patterns (recently featured on Offworld) that appear onscreen when a cartridge is improperly inserted into an Atari 2600. And while you're stopping by that gallery, don't miss a look at Rich's other pixel-infused, videogame related works.
Dave is Drawing and Mark Made are always reliable for top o' the line videos, photography, and illustrations via their respective flickr streams. Now with the launch of NYC WTF, they've collaborated with an entire squad of artists for an entertaining stream of day to day wtf. Keep an eye on these guys, I'm a fan.
