For the record, I'm still stuck in 2008. Despite some rather elegant New Year's Eve celebrations about a week ago, I can't shake the eights off of me until I take care of some unfinished business and collect my senses about what my priorities will be for 2009-oh-so-fine. So far there's been a lot of work, a lot of responsibility to come to terms with, and a substantial amount of French-pressed coffee. 2009 isn't too bad so far, but I'll give it a fair chance when I'm ready.
Meanwhile, I really like Daniel d'Ors Happy New 2009 portrait that was uniquely showcased on his flickr page. So in the words of Mr. d'Ors, "Thank God 2008 is over and now is Happy New 2009."

Nope, it's a mystery! I suppose he took a photo, divided it, and then set all the photos to publish when things looked right.
