There's no telling if Dead Snow will satiate my present lack of quality horror movies (I wouldn't count Let the Right One In in the horror genre, although, I did miss My Bloody Valentine 3-D... did anyone get some gore from the third dimension on their faces?), but I'll be dammed if I miss out on a film with roaring, snow tromping, zombie Nazis in it.

I agree, this movie looks awesome. All I could think of when watching this trailer was "Why, oh why did I not think of this first?!"

I know right? I hope this film is good enough to open new doors of zombie cinema... what could be next? Zombie Aztecs? Zombie Mongolians? Zombie Samurais?

There is actually a Japanese movie called "Samurai Zombies" by the way, that´s coming on Japan this year. It´s directed by Tak Sakaguchi, a guy who stars on a lot of Ryuhei Kitamura movies ("Versus", "Alive", "Midnight Meat Train"), and while it really looks like an "Z-Series" movies, it will definely be a good guilty-pleasure.
Also strongly recommed "Midnight Meat Train", and a lot of this new wave of French horror movies with "Inside", "Frontiere(s)" and "The Ordeal" on the top of the list of French horror movies, specially if you´re lacking some gore and some old fashioned hardcore stories and characters.

Thanks for the suggestions! I've actually seen "The Ordeal"... it's a pretty creepy movie!
