A little more than a month ago I posted about the sad disappearance of a favorite abandonware site, the Macintosh Garden. The post has been quite active in the comments section since, many reporting updates to the status of the site as well as alternative sources to the bygone garden of goods. Additionally, commenter futurestack linked me to some terrific wallpapers he made, which I'll most certainly be rotating across my desktop for the next few months or so at least.
This beautiful collection of 512k wallpapers is derrived from a handful of classic Macintosh games, including my all-time hypercard favorite, Cosmic Osmo. Other game scenes include the solumn opening panorama from Loom and a stunningly subtle skyline from Stuntcopter, as well as lucious pixel-scapes from Lemmings, Dungeon of Doom, and more. So until I can configure that Mac Classic emulator to start running Hypercard again, I guess this will have to do for now.

Oh this is WONDERFUL! I am totally using these. THANKS HOMEY!
