Remember the fellows who put together that Ocarina of Time hip-hop mashup album, Ocarina of Rhyme? They were Team Teamwork, and in three days they're releasing another mashup album, this time matching hip-hop stars like Jay-Z, Gucci Mane, MF DOOM and more over the Final Fantasy VII soundtrack. Considering that I listen to the Final Fantasy VII soundtrack more often that you'd imagine (just look at my last.fm for proof), this was very exciting news to me.
I got a sneak peek at the ablum last night, and I have to say, it's pretty good. Vinyl Fantasy 7 is definitely better than that ear bleeding Crank Dat One-Winged Angel mashup I posted a while back, with some catchy tunes to boot. Ocarina of Rhyme is still my favorite, but hearing hip-hop over the Jenova theme and the song from Costa Del Sol is pretty fresh.
Look back soon for a link to the whole album (which, if you do some Internet detective work, you can listen to now), but in the meanwhile here's a sneak leak peek at my favorites.

They're Good Ass remixes volumes are also worth mentioning. It's hard to beat Sigur Ros vs. T.I.

Lookit dat, very high compatibility.
As for Ocarina of Rhyme, I didn't care for it much except for two tracks which I really, really liked. Those two tracks have me hyped for this FFVII mashup.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! What an amazing team! I am sure that it could not have been an easy job to decide but I would say that you ladies did a FABULOUS job! An extra special Congrats to my girl Janine Wahl! I am soooo happy for you!
